CFE concludes follow-up meetings on projects for the National Transmission Network

As of May 31, 2026, a total of 271 projects had been approved.

On June 5, 2026, a follow-up meeting was held at the Operations Directorate of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to review the status of the approved projects for the Expansion and Modernization of the National Transmission Network (RNT). Participants included authorities from the Ministry of Energy (SENER), the National Center for Energy Control (CENACE), and the CFE's Operations, Planning, Administration, Finance, and Engineering and Infrastructure Projects Directorates.

The session was chaired by Mr. Francisco Javier Maldonado Ramos, Director of Operations; Dr. José Antonio Rojas Nieto, Undersecretary of Electricity; and Mr. Mauricio Cuellar Ahumada, Director General of CENACE. The purpose of the meeting was to review progress, identify challenges, and define actions to strengthen decision-making. Consolidating an inter-institutional coordination space for monitoring strategic projects of the national electricity system.

During the session, a detailed report was presented, covering the period up to May 31, 2026. This report highlighted a total of 271 projects underway, demonstrating the effort and results achieved in strengthening transformation capacity to optimize grid performance and meet the growing demand for electricity.

The progress presented reflects favorable results in project execution, emphasizing the effective coordination and collaborative work between the Ministry of Energy (SENER) and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). This institutional collaboration has been key to promoting strategic initiatives that strengthen the country's electrical infrastructure and reaffirm the shared commitment to national energy development for the benefit of society.
