October 28, 2026. Daktronics, a leading company recognized for control technology and digital display systems, celebrated an inauguration ceremony today to commemorate the opening of its new manufacturing plant in Saltillo, Mexico. The new facilities, covering approximately 10,250 square meters, increase the overall agility of Daktronics' production capacity and anticipate the creation of approximately 50 jobs. Its location in northeastern Mexico allows the company to serve its clients more efficiently while offering flexible shipping options throughout the Western Hemisphere and other global markets. Production at the plant focuses on the manufacturing of metal structures, from packaging to crating, for configurable indoor and outdoor video displays, such as luminous signs or installations for sports venues, and high-resolution videowalls used in close-up indoor viewing applications.
This ceremony commemorates an important step in how we serve our clients. The expansion of our production in Mexico is an integral part of our strategy for profitable growth, said Ramesh Jayaraman, president and CEO of Daktronics. The Saltillo plant will be a key piece in our manufacturing network and will allow us to expand our capacity to adapt to the changing needs and deadlines of our clients. We warmly welcome our employees at these facilities to the Daktronics family. Matt Kurtenbach, vice president of global manufacturing at Daktronics, added: This is a fundamental step, as it allows us to offer a globally robust network, increase manufacturing flexibility, strengthen our ability to compete in all markets, and stay on the right track to grow and lead the LED market in the future. The event included an inauguration ceremony, guided tours of the production areas, messages from Daktronics executives and the local governor, and even the blessing of a priest.
